Early Paintings
Six joint paintings from 2014–2015 preceding the Future Dishes prototypes.
140715
A broad red field occupies the upper right of the canvas; a large blue-violet upright form stands near the centre against pale green, yellow and pink passages, with smaller clustered forms at lower right. The image remains fragmented rather than resolving into a continuous scene. It is one of the first paintings, made by Marika and Anton together.
140812 Gift
A large mixed-media painting organised as interlocking fields of saturated pink, green, blue, yellow and orange. Curving outlined shapes, soft-edged colour patches and smaller figure-like or plant-like fragments remain distributed across the surface without resolving into a single continuous scene.
140815 This Cold Is Killing Me
A wide horizontal field is built from overlapping passages of turquoise, yellow, pink, orange and blue. A dense cobalt mass occupies the lower left, while a red-orange vertical form rises at the right and pale rectangular areas interrupt the upper centre. Drips, scratched and drawn lines, repeated short marks and loose brushstrokes cross the surface; pale violet handwritten Cyrillic text remains visible along the lower left edge.
150507 The Man from Varanasi
A large pale pink head-like form fills the upper half of the painting, bordered by yellow and dark brown. Below it, a dense blue-green and orange field contains a small blue hooded figure and a dark boat-like form.
150512 Tiny Red Shoes
The vertical painting is divided into two uneven zones: a turquoise hooded figure occupies the upper right, while the lower half gathers pale, green and orange fragments around a dark arched shape. Small black figures and isolated red marks punctuate the lighter field.
150729
On a pale vertical field, translucent blue, green, pink and ochre passages accumulate around the centre. A small blue hooded figure sits near the lower edge beneath a diffuse cluster of partially dissolved forms.
