M&A hung in the large hall all personal belongings tied together on the strings and connected the strings to a specially developed program. The strings’ vibrations influenced the generation of sound from an array of a sound library that Anton and Marika have collected traveling for many years. The whole system was driven by a performative practice during which artists moved on wheels, interacting with strings, striking it with absurd objects: a paper hammer, a thin hose, a chair, an oar, a small stick, and so on. The Corrida lasted throughout the day with two breaks while artists repaired the broken suspended structures.

Our thing is simple and strange; a certain complexity can arise in this strangeness. Once in Budapest we found two stones on the bank of the Danube. We watched how they interacted, playing with meaning and number. We discovered that stones come in three kinds: stones, things resembling stones, and things not resembling stones.

After half a year of slowly sliding down Indochina, from the islands of northern Vietnam through the wilderness of Laos, we became stuck in the house of a village healer in a remote province of Thailand. The number and proportions of our personal belongings had always attracted our attention, so we decided to record our material condition: at that moment, eighty-three things constituted everything we owned.
