In spring 2017, we transported the White Mold to Karlsruhe, where the series was installed in a Poly Gallery using wood from the Dukes park.
There was no finished display system. We tried different ways of hanging the paintings and built the exhibition from what was around us, gathering wood in the park and carrying the heavy branches back to the gallery. In an earlier note on White Mold we had written that space itself could turn into White Mold — cut apart and made to rattle.
Over the following weeks the paintings became part of a larger environment. We collected discarded household objects from the streets of Karlsruhe, painted them white and filled the gallery with them; a text was projected across this provisional field. What began with the problem of installing the paintings developed into _Tidy Room_, and the projection later became the video _About Content_.
