History

A Burakova-residency painting historically titled Самотряс / Shaky. The hooded figure reappears among motifs already circulating through the Dresden paintings, now inside the more concentrated pictorial field of the 2016 series.

Authorial Comment

We’ll leave the detailed story of the dramatic events happening in front of us to somebody else. For us the residency was just another stretch of the continuous fall we’d been practising as a dance. We built a wire cube to mark out the space for it and shot a film that came to nothing.
